Black Cumin Oil (Nigella Sativa)
$22.95 – $58.45
Description
Black Seed Oil is sometimes known as black cumin oil, caraway, fennel flower, nigella and roman corriander. Given the potential for confusion there it is best to identify the oil using its botanical name of Nigella Sativa.
Native To: Southern Europe, North Africa and Southwest Asia.
Extraction method: Cold pressed
Common uses: Nigella Sativa is a rich source of Thymol which is an antimicrobial. It also contains Thymoquinone which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Due to the antioxidant content the oil is a free radical scavanger and is an excellent addition to any cosmaceutical cream or serum.
Consistency: Typical and characteristic of carrier oils
Absorption: Absorbs into skin at average speed, slight oil feeling left on skin.
Cautions: Due to the antimicrobial activities this oil might be a bit strong to use directly on the skin of all people. We recommend using this as a speciality oil and adding no more than 10%
Solubility:Â Oil Soluble.
Heat Stability: Good, this oil is sometimes used to enhance the oxidative and heat stability of other oils due to its broad-reacing antioxidant capacity.
Typical Use Levels: Up to 10%
