$8.95 – $53.45
Description
Lotus leaf tea, called Hé Yè (荷叶) in Chinese, yeonnip-cha (연잎차) in Korean, is a tea made from young leaves of the lotus. Leaves for lotus tea are often heat-treated (either by steaming or roasting) before being dried. Sometimes, fresh leaves are also infused as tea. 6–12 g (0.21–0.42 oz) of dried leaves or 15–20 g (0.53–0.71 oz) of fresh leaves are simmered in 600 ml of water over low heat to produce two to three cups tea.
This slightly bitter leaf has a lot of health benefits, but its main properties are related to helping your liver and spleen detox and remain healthy. Modern researches have shown that the extract from Lotus leaves can even decrease high blood pressure, and reduce muscle spasms.
One of the key components of Lotus Leaf extract is Nuciferine. Nuciferine can significantly reduce serum cholesterol levels of glycerol and glycerol, it plays a role in regulating blood lipid health. Nuciferine may help in losing weight, lowering blood pressure, and as a dietary supplement.
Flavonoids are another of the main components of lotus leaf. The health benefits of flavonolds are well-known and are displayed as a remarkable range of biochemical and pharmacological properties.

It has charmed eastern and middle eastern cultures for millennium. The pales green leaves, which lay flat upon the surface of the water, reach a diameter of up to 60cm They are collected in the summer and autumn, and dried and processed into the herbal extract.
Lotus Leaf Tea is effective as an astringent, cardiotonic , anti-febrile agent, hypotensive, resolvent , styptic, tonic and vasodilator.
Scientific research has revealed that lotus leaf contains alkaloids, flavonoids and tannins. The isoquinline alkaloids in the leaf have sedative and antispasmodic properties, which may aid in digestion, and the flavonoids and tannins are powerful antioxidants which protect the heart and assist in weight loss.
