Marjoram is an aromatic herb known for its aromatherapeutic and culinary uses. Its botanical name means “joy of the mountain” in Greek, and was first used to make wreaths for weddings. In fact, Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, was believed to wear wreaths made from marjoram. Common medicinal uses include: improved digestive function, protection against common illnesses, improved heart health, anti-inflammatory, improve and uplift mood and psychological well-being, to relieve insomnia, stress and anxiety.
