Rhododendron (/ˌroʊdəˈdɛndrən/; from Ancient Greek ῥόδον rhódon “rose” and δένδρον déndron “tree”) is a very large genus of about 1,024 species of woody plants in the heath family (Ericaceae). Rhododendron anthopogon, the dwarf rhododendron, is a species of flowering plant in the family Ericaceae, native to Pakistan, the Himalayas, Tibet, and Myanmar. It is used to make an essential oil. Its habitats include open slopes, thickets, hillsides, and cliff ledges.
This Rhododendron oil is excellent for use in aromatherapy diffusers; formulating cosmetics; refreshing potpourri; massage oils; bath oil and, as a perfume body oil.
